Fandom: Booster Gold, X-Men, ATS, Harry Potter, Star Wars

Step One

- Make a post (public, friends locked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.

Step Two

- Surf around your friendslist (or friends friends, or just random journals, or holiday_wishes) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

I just typed in "Booster Gold" and "yellow" and the system did the rest. Fun fact, Ted Kord with Blue ended up with Superboy divorcing because Ted was insane. Trixie and Michelle both ended up with Superman somehow. Ted with black gets Booster but they end when Ted became addicted to heroin. Going through the different colors Ted ended up with Superman (he gets around), Pied Piper, Supergirl, Aquaman, etc. until Batman came up. They broke up because "It was a BIG MISTAKE! Trust me."

Booster got Ted twice, Red Arrow cheated on him a lot, Batman apparently found him unbearable (which is weird because he always seem to stand Booster more than Ted) which made Booster cheating on him make more sense, Plastic Man came up twice but it seems Booster was high and realized this was a mistake. Booster also married Guy but like above their marriage ended once Guy realized he was gay. He married two women, Hawkgirl who cheated on him and Starfire who was sadly insane. When I typed in Michael Carter/blue he ended up marrying Booster Gold and cheated on himself once.

 Over at the Dc Blog their hinting at there being more to the image for the cover to #23 than we think. Maybe a contest in the works?

The number for this meme was 5 but I honesty can't come up with five stories that were my favorites.

My favorite though was The Cruelest Cut. I still don't like the Buffy chapter and have considered re-writing it but this was simply the most fun I had writing a story. I liked the new things I did with this fic like the POV was just Angelus talking to the Scoobies, making them faces things they rather stayed buried. Which as you can imagine would be very soothing to anyone who watched the shows and was irked about redemption being skimmed on BTVS while on ATS they were more active in the plot.

Also Angelus is the most fun I ever had writing a character sort of like I enjoy writing Draculas' arrogance. Angelus says whatever is on his mind, spares nothing and is so giddy about the whole thing. I probably could have kept doing nothing but Angelus belittling others in fanfic and be happy. That's how much fun he was.

While searching for more Rip material, both to read and to laugh over I came upon some nice tidbits. First a review on Rip Hunter #20 where Rip tries to protect his best friend by agreeing to help Hitler with a time paradox. I serious want to get the issue based on just the snapshots we're are given in the review.

I've always been a little curious about the 52 novel and audio book which lead me to a link talking about it.

I was re-reading past issues of Booster Gold after this months' issue thinking about how much things are connected. The cause and effect. How a few of the bad guys have no idea how it works and what got Booster/others this far.

 Recently got the Watchmen Motion Comic movie. I never read the comic before as I wasn't sure if it would be overrated or unsuited to my taste. I have to say that I thought it was amazing, of course I didn't have any expectations going in. I hope the movie is good too. This does however make me wonder why no one else has used this concept before for other motion comic movies. After the Fall would benefit from this of course I'm also thinking about different titles as well...

Looking at the tv tropes today I was pleased to see that I'm not the only one who sees Booster Gold as a black dress. As great as Boostle is I have to say it's not my One True Pairing. Not that I have those per se. Now if only there were more random pairings like Booster/Superman, Booster/Babs, or even Black Beetle/Booster fics. I hate to think I was the only one writing these things.

I'd love to see these comics at least referenced again.
